Pets Rock with Bret Michaels
This past week Poison / Def Leppard tour rolled through town. When my wife and I heard Bret was doing an in store appearance at tone of the local Petsmart stores before the show, I immediately drove to buy 2 of the required Pets Rock items to gain 2 passes. (Ozzie looks great in a Bret Michaels bandana and Simmy likes the dog bowl with skulls.)
Skip forward to Thursday, we arrived at the Petsmart and had the chance to meet Bret. I can say anything you see on TV about how nice and genuine he is, well it is all true. He a line of people he had to get through before his show, but took time to talk to everyone and thank each person for coming out. Even though the people at the store said Bret would only sign Petsmart products, Bret did sign my wife’s 45 of “I Won’t Forget You.” Yes we are that old we still have 45′s from our youth.
We were still on a natural high from the meet and greet when we arrived at the concert. 4 hours of hair metal goodness. Poison always puts on a great show, and Def Leppard blew me away. They played all their hits for the casual fan and pull out some deep cuts like “Gods of War” and “Let it Go” for the long time fans.
